Match-Prime Liquidity has appointed Vladimiros Spanos as chief operating officer, drawing him from sister company Match-Trade Technologies where he spent nearly four years. Spanos will manage operations at the Cyprus-regulated liquidity provider, with responsibilities spanning pricing execution, risk management, and client liquidity configurations.
Spanos brings a diverse background across trading and brokerage technology dating back to 2012 when he joined Marex Spectron as a derivatives trader. His career progression included COO roles at Exclusive Capital and XValley Technologies before he joined Match-Trade as head of business development in late 2022. His experience combines front-office trading with operational and technical expertise, giving him perspective on how liquidity functions across execution quality, technology infrastructure, and risk controls.
The appointment reflects a broader pattern of internal promotions across the Match-Trade and Match-Prime group. Recent moves include Przemyslaw Wojtyna’s elevation to chief commercial officer at Match-Trade in July, and Michael Nichols’ transfer from Match-Trade sales to become Match-Prime’s chief commercial officer in 2024. Match-Prime CEO Andreas Kapsos emphasized that effective liquidity relationships require mutual understanding of each party’s business model.
For brokers working with CySEC-regulated liquidity providers, the appointment signals Match-Prime’s focus on operational depth and risk management sophistication. Spanos is expected to leverage dealing and risk system data to refine pricing and execution arrangements, though no specific performance metrics were announced.
