OpenAI has rolled out a finance-specific version of ChatGPT targeting banks, analysts, and institutional users, the company announced Thursday. The tool runs on GPT-6 Astra and integrates market data from providers including Daloopa, PitchBook, and LSEG News, covering earnings transcripts, financial statements, and company fundamentals. The platform is designed to let analysts trace figures back to source material and verify outputs against original documents.

The launch reflects OpenAI’s strategic push into enterprise revenue. The company disclosed earlier this year that consumer and corporate business lines are nearly equal in size, with over 2.5 million businesses already using its tools. In June 2026, OpenAI committed $150 million to a partner network aimed at certifying 300,000 consultants by year-end.

However, OpenAI enters a crowded space. Anthropic, Shortcut, and Endex already offer finance-focused AI tools, while trading platforms like Binance and MetaQuotes have embedded AI features for market analysis and trading workflows.
