IndusInd Bank has partnered with Navi UPI to bolster its Unified Payments Interface technology infrastructure, the companies announced today. The collaboration aims to enhance IndusInd’s digital payment capabilities as UPI transaction volumes continue surging across India’s financial ecosystem.

The deal positions Navi, backed by billionaire Sachin Bansal, as a key technology provider for one of India’s prominent private sector banks. IndusInd will leverage Navi’s UPI platform to support its growing digital payments business amid intensifying competition in India’s fintech space.

This partnership comes as Indian banks face mounting pressure to upgrade payment systems capable of handling massive transaction loads. UPI processed over 11 billion transactions monthly in recent periods, making robust infrastructure critical for banks to maintain service reliability and capture market share.

The move could impact payment processing stocks and fintech valuations as banks increasingly outsource critical infrastructure to specialized technology partners rather than building in-house.
