Charlie Walker has departed Vantage Markets after nearly five years to join Dupoin as Regional Director, marking a significant senior hire as the firm pursues global expansion. Walker announced the move via LinkedIn without specifying which territories or product lines will fall under his remit in the new role.
During his tenure at Vantage UK, Walker served as Head of New Business for over two years and previously worked as Senior Relationship Manager for almost three years. His career history includes stints at payments firm Ebury in business development, Graydon UK in new business development, and a brief period at OANDA as a Premium Relationship Manager. The breadth of his experience across retail FX brokers and cross-border payments positions him well for a regional growth mandate.
The appointment coincides with ongoing expansion efforts across the retail FX sector. Vantage itself recently secured a Category 5 licence from the UAE Capital Market Authority in July, which permits marketing and client introduction activities but stops short of authorising local brokerage operations or client fund custody within the jurisdiction. This licensing structure is becoming increasingly common as brokers navigate Middle Eastern market access while managing regulatory overhead.
Walker’s move underscores continued competition for experienced commercial talent as brokers and trading platforms scale internationally and seek executives capable of navigating complex cross-border regulatory landscapes.
FXnCO Insight
Senior relationship managers with multi-jurisdiction broker and payments experience remain highly sought after as firms balance aggressive growth targets with the need for commercially astute hires who understand licensing constraints and compliance boundaries.
