TradeStation has expanded its retail offering to include CME single-stock futures on more than fifty US equities, joining a competitive rollout that began when CME launched the product in July. The broker now provides both standard and micro contracts covering major names including Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, and Amazon, available nearly around the clock from Sunday through Friday. Standard contracts represent one hundred shares while micro variants carry a ten-share multiplier, designed to lower capital requirements and improve position sizing flexibility for smaller accounts.

Single-stock futures allow traders to gain long or short exposure to individual equities through margin-based futures contracts without holding or borrowing the underlying stock. The instruments are financially settled and cleared through CME. TradeStation follows several peers including Schwab, NinjaTrader, EdgeClear, Optimus Futures, and Plus500 in offering retail access to the new contracts, reflecting broader industry momentum behind the product category.

The strategic value for brokers lies in margin efficiency, extended trading hours, and unified futures-style execution across equity exposure. However, commercial adoption will depend heavily on pricing structures. TradeStation has not yet disclosed a specific commission schedule for these contracts, and typical futures fees involve exchange charges, volume tiers, and regulatory assessments. For compliance teams and product managers, the rollout represents an additional regulated instrument class requiring operational integration, risk parameter calibration, and client suitability assessments.

Brokers adding single-stock futures must evaluate whether margin advantages and extended hours justify infrastructure investment against commission compression and execution cost transparency demands from increasingly sophisticated retail traders.
