SIDBI has officially launched MonetaGo’s Secure Financing system on its GST-Sahay Invoice Based Financing Platform after completing a successful pilot phase, the organizations announced today. The deployment specifically targets MSME lending operations across India’s small and medium enterprise sector. MonetaGo’s technology provides blockchain-based fraud prevention by detecting duplicate financing attempts and validating invoices in real-time during the lending process.

The move affects India’s vast MSME financing ecosystem, where invoice fraud and duplicate financing have historically presented significant risks to lenders and financial institutions. SIDBI’s platform processes government-backed loans for small businesses using GST invoice data as the primary financing mechanism. The Secure Financing integration adds an additional verification layer to prevent fraudulent claims and improve credit quality across the portfolio.

This development comes as Indian regulators continue pushing digital transformation in MSME lending to expand credit access while managing risk exposure for participating banks and NBFCs.
