Spotware has launched subscription billing for its cTrader Store, allowing developers to sell trading tools through recurring payments rather than one-time purchases only. The update, implemented in early 2025, enables sellers to offer cBots, indicators and plugins via weekly, monthly, six-month or annual plans while maintaining permanent purchase options. Traders can now access premium algorithmic tools with lower upfront costs, though Spotware retains its 30 percent commission on all transactions including renewals.
The marketplace, which launched in December 2024, already hosts over 2,000 products and attracts more than 10,000 daily visitors according to July figures. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancellation, with access continuing through the paid period. Developers can run both pricing models simultaneously for the same product. The move follows TradingView’s November 2025 introduction of Paid Spaces, which bundles up to 25 Pine Script tools into monthly subscriptions, signaling broader industry adoption of recurring revenue models for trading software.

Subscription pricing lowers barriers to premium algo tools but increases ongoing costs for active traders who previously paid once for lifetime access.
