Polish online broker XTB experienced a significant platform outage on Monday, August 3, 2026, preventing clients from accessing trading services around the US market open. Users across Poland and internationally reported the web platform failed to load while the mobile app lagged and could not retrieve instrument data. Complaints began surfacing at approximately 1:39 p.m. Warsaw time, with frustrated traders unable to place orders or monitor positions during critical market hours. Polish tech site ithardware.pl estimated the disruption lasted 30 to 40 minutes, though client complaints continued for hours afterward.
Despite the technical failure, XTB shares surged to record highs, closing Monday at PLN 151.18 and climbing further to PLN 155.22 on Tuesday morning, up 2.67%. Investors focused on the company’s strong preliminary Q2 results released July 31, which showed revenue of PLN 992.6 million and net profit of PLN 492.2 million, beating forecasts by 22.1%. XTB has not issued a statement explaining the outage cause or customer impact.
