British embedded investment platform Seccl has launched an Irish subsidiary and appointed its first European chief executive as it accelerates expansion plans into continental markets. The Octopus-owned firm has established Seccl Ireland DAC and named Ronan Gahan to lead the new entity.

The Dublin-based operation represents a strategic gateway for Seccl to access European Union markets while leveraging Ireland’s established financial services infrastructure and regulatory framework. The move follows growing demand from European fintech firms and wealth managers seeking embedded investment solutions that can operate across multiple jurisdictions.

Seccl provides white-label custody and investment administration technology that enables platforms, advisers, and wealth managers to offer investment services without building their own infrastructure. The expansion comes as embedded finance continues to gain traction across Europe, with firms increasingly seeking modular solutions to rapidly deploy investment capabilities.

European wealth management and fintech platforms should monitor Seccl’s rollout timeline closely, as this expansion could introduce competitive pressure on pricing and service delivery for existing custody and investment infrastructure providers across EU markets.
