# BREAKING: Prop Trading Firms Shift From Comoros to Mauritius

Proprietary trading firms that rushed to register in the Comoros following MetaQuotes’ early 2024 crackdown on white-label arrangements are now relocating to Mauritius. FundingPips, FundedNext’s FNmarkets, Hola Prime, and Finotive Markets have all secured Mauritius Financial Services Commission licences in recent months, pivoting away from their controversial Comoros registrations.

The original Comoros migration was driven by urgent need. After MetaQuotes tightened rules, prop firms lost access to MetaTrader platforms essential for evaluation models. They turned to Comoros entities like the Mwali International Services Authority for quick, inexpensive licensing workarounds. However, the Banque Centrale des Comores publicly rejected these island-level authorities as lacking legal standing.

Mauritius offers legitimate regulatory infrastructure used by established CFD brokers for global offshore operations. The FSC maintains a genuine public register and carries far stronger credibility than Comoros arrangements, which were always seen as temporary fixes rather than sustainable regulatory foundations.

** Traders and platforms should verify prop firm regulatory status carefully, as this migration signals increased scrutiny of offshore licensing quality across the industry.
