TradeQuo has launched GOLD247, a new instrument enabling eligible clients to trade gold on Saturdays and Sundays through MetaTrader 5. The move comes as global gold market liquidity hit a record $488 billion daily average in the first half of 2026, according to the World Gold Council. The standalone weekend product operates separately from TradeQuo’s standard XAUUSD offering during weekdays, with distinct trading schedules and specifications. Once regular weekday trading resumes, GOLD247 switches to close-only mode for existing positions.
The launch targets growing demand as gold prices reached historic highs earlier in 2026, with first-quarter global demand surging to $193 billion, up 74% year-over-year. Gold responds to multiple catalysts including interest rates, geopolitical events, and inflation expectations that continue evolving beyond traditional trading hours. The weekend instrument aims to capture market-moving developments that occur outside conventional Monday-to-Friday sessions.
