SIX has launched Market Signal, a new real-time European equity data service now accessible via API for institutional users and Swiss retail investors. The platform delivers 1BBO pricing—best bid and offer quotes—across SIX Swiss Exchange, BME Exchange, and 16 Aquis Exchange markets, positioning itself just behind direct exchange feeds in speed.

The rollout comes as SIX builds out European equity infrastructure, including a shared trading platform with Aquis and BME expected next year. Swiss retail subscriptions are open immediately, with EU and UK access planned for future phases. The service targets wealth managers, compliance teams, and trading desks, with licensing explicitly covering AI model training and algorithmic development.

Built on viaNexus technology, Market Signal allows brokers, fintechs, and banks to integrate consolidated European equity data into proprietary systems without needing multiple exchange connections. Santiago Ximenez, Head of Data & Connectivity at SIX, emphasized the platform removes traditional barriers to high-quality exchange data.

** Firms relying on fragmented European equity feeds should evaluate Market Signal’s consolidated API as a potential cost and latency advantage over maintaining multiple direct exchange connections.
