Saxo Bank has posted record first-half results for 2026, with net profit surging 18 percent to EUR 87 million from EUR 73 million in the same period last year. Total income climbed 12 percent year-on-year to EUR 375 million, driven by elevated trading activity across equity and commodity markets amid heightened geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic uncertainty.

Client assets jumped to EUR 153 billion from EUR 118 billion in H1 2025, while the client base expanded by 300,000 to reach 1.7 million users. The Danish investment bank attributed the performance to sustained market volatility, particularly in oil and precious metals, alongside positive equity sentiment.

The results follow March’s ownership transition, when J. Safra Sarasin Group completed its majority stake acquisition. Daniel Belfer now serves as CEO, with founder Kim Fournais as chairman. Saxo continues investing heavily in artificial intelligence, platform development, and client acquisition strategies.
