Robinhood has officially launched cryptocurrency trading in the UK, enabling eligible customers to buy and sell over 50 digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid through its app. The service, delivered via Bitstamp UK Ltd following Robinhood’s 2025 acquisition of the regulated exchange, integrates crypto trading alongside existing equity, options and futures offerings on a single platform. The company is positioning itself aggressively with zero trading fees and no account maintenance or custody charges, directly challenging established UK crypto platforms on pricing.

The expansion includes AI-powered Cortex Digests for Crypto, which analyzes news and market data to explain price movements in plain language. UK developers also gain access to Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum for building onchain applications. Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood UK and General Manager of Bitstamp UK, emphasized the move as part of becoming an all-in-one investment platform targeting UK investors who view digital assets as portfolio essentials.
