Intercontinental Exchange and cryptocurrency platform OKX have formalized a 50-50 joint venture to deliver tokenized NYSE equities and ICE futures products to retail traders globally. The partnership builds on ICE’s March investment of approximately $200 million for a minority stake in OKX, which was valued at around $25 billion. The venture, pending regulatory approval, will operate as a U.S. registered broker-dealer and futures commission merchant, enabling OKX’s retail customer base to access traditional financial products through blockchain infrastructure.

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will co-chair the joint venture alongside ICE leadership. The companies emphasized their goal of bridging institutional-grade market infrastructure with blockchain technology while maintaining regulatory compliance. ICE Senior Vice President Trabue Bland positioned the partnership as foundational infrastructure for future global market operations, extending institutional access to retail users through OKX’s platform.
