London-based Qubealgo has appointed Mark Reeves as head of sales, bringing in a veteran with 24 years of experience at Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered to drive global business development. Reeves, who most recently ran Standard Chartered’s macro sales desk covering banks and broker-dealers until July 2025, will spearhead sales of Qubealgo’s development toolkit that enables financial institutions to build proprietary execution algorithms rather than buying off-the-shelf platforms.

The hire comes as Qubealgo, operating as Riskpath Limited since 2016, attempts to gain traction in a competitive market. The firm opened its platform commercially in April 2023 and has disclosed only one client partnership since then—crypto platform Quadra in July 2025. The company has not revealed client numbers, headcount, or funding details.

Reeves spent most of his career in FX eCommerce and sales roles at Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered, with a brief stint at FXSpotStream in 2015.

** The appointment signals Qubealgo’s push to capture institutional development budgets, but limited client disclosure raises questions about market adoption versus established execution algorithm providers.
