Opetek has launched ARIUS, an AI-powered quantitative reasoning platform targeting institutional front-office trading desks in capital markets. The platform is currently being piloted by traders and quantitative analysts at a Tier 1 global investment bank across FX options workflows in New York, London and Singapore, with another major financial institution deployment in preparation.
ARIUS addresses fragmented workflows across market data, analytics, risk systems and research by providing natural-language analysis of complex market scenarios. The platform generates explainable, auditable reasoning trails that document calculations, assumptions, methodologies and underlying data supporting trading decisions. Users can produce analysis and code without manual data preparation while maintaining human oversight of final decisions.
Opetek was founded by Varqa Abyaneh, former Chief Product Officer at Quantile prior to its LSEG acquisition and veteran of derivatives trading roles at institutions including HSBC. The launch reflects growing institutional adoption of AI tools beyond retail trading applications, where algorithmic assistants have become commonplace.
