Mitrade EU has promoted Timur Konsky from chief operating officer to chief executive officer, tasking him with leading the CFD broker’s European retail expansion amid surging trading volumes. The parent company reported a sharp 148.4 percent increase in lots traded during the first seven months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, while active clients jumped over 50 percent.
Konsky, who brings more than 20 years of fintech experience, will initially focus on Germany as a testing ground for the broker’s European strategy. Mitrade plans to gather client feedback on onboarding processes, costs, platform functionality, risk controls and customer support before rolling out to additional markets. The firm currently operates under a Cyprus license to serve EU clients.
Germany presents both opportunity and challenge, with 14.1 million share and ETF investors but only 63,000 active CFD and forex traders as of early 2025. Mitrade has not disclosed launch dates, hiring plans or acquisition budgets for the German market.

** Brokers targeting German retail traders should prepare multi-product strategies beyond traditional CFDs, as competitors increasingly offer certificates, warrants and options to capture broader investor demand.
