MEX Exchange has announced a leadership transition, promoting Brian Andreyko from Chief Product Officer to Chief Executive Officer, while founder David Ogg moves to Vice Chairman. The institutional multi-dealer ECN for foreign exchange and metals made the change to support continued platform development, keeping Ogg in a strategic role while Andreyko handles daily operations.
Andreyko brings over thirty years of financial technology experience, including senior positions at Currenex, EBS at ICAP, MakoFX, TradAir, and Edgewater Markets before joining MEX in 2026. His appointment signals the platform’s focus on electronic trading infrastructure as it expands ECN, technical services, and execution capabilities for institutional clients including banks, hedge funds, and asset managers.
Ogg, who founded HotspotFX in 1999 as the first institutional FX ECN, has led MEX Exchange for more than three years. The platform targets emerging market and global institutional participants through proprietary interfaces and FIX API connections.
FXnCO Insight
Institutional traders should monitor whether Andreyko’s product-focused leadership accelerates MEX Exchange’s technology roadmap and competitive positioning against established multi-dealer platforms.
