Match-Trade Technologies has appointed Serhii Poplavskyi as head of its Match-Trader platform, tasking the veteran broker executive with expanding into prop trading and prediction markets. The move comes as platform vendors compete aggressively following MetaQuotes’ 2024 MetaTrader licensing fee increases and tighter third-party restrictions.

Poplavskyi brings over fifteen years of brokerage experience, including a decade at FIBO Group running operations in Ukraine and Latin America, plus a recent stint as sales director at D Prime. His commercial background signals Match-Trade’s strategy to differentiate on broker needs rather than pure technology features.

The company reported significant momentum with server clients jumping 290 percent between January 2024 and 2025, signing over 160 brokers and prop firms last year with 1.8 million trader accounts registered. Poplavskyi will focus on upgrading charting capabilities, strengthening CRM functions, and accelerating the prediction markets product launched in April 2025.
