Match-Prime Liquidity’s Chief Operating Officer Stavros Economides has departed after nearly seven years with the Cyprus-regulated liquidity provider, he announced Friday via LinkedIn. Economides joined when liquidity provision was markedly different from today’s landscape and described his tenure as the most rewarding period of his career, focusing on building the firm’s technology infrastructure and client relationships.
The executive departure occurs as Match-Prime continues regional expansion efforts. The MTG Liquidity-owned firm recently appointed Kareem Harras as Head of MENA in January to spearhead Middle East and North Africa growth initiatives. Match-Prime has simultaneously broadened its product suite, launching round-the-clock CFDs on gold, silver, WTI crude, US100 and US500 in June with five-times leverage and million-dollar position limits.
Economides brings extensive dealing desk experience from Q8 Trade, TeleTrade, Capital Index and Markets.com across his career spanning forex and securities trading operations.
