Ingenico has appointed four senior executives following a 150 million euro capital restructuring led by PIMCO, announced Wednesday. The payment terminal provider installed new leadership across product, technology, revenue and customer operations to direct deployment of the fresh capital injection.
Maria Parpou joins as chief product officer from Mastercard’s global gateway division. Paul Gardiner becomes chief technology officer after serving as CIO at NCR Atleos. Ieuan Owen takes the chief revenue officer role from Xplor Technologies, while Oliver Moore arrives as chief customer excellence officer from Sitecore. The appointments place external executives in control of critical functions determining how Ingenico deploys the capital toward payment terminal and cloud service development.
The restructuring reportedly involves debt-to-equity conversion, shifting ownership stakes among creditors. Ingenico has been owned by Apollo since 2020. The company disclosed neither compensation details nor specific start dates for the new hires.
FXnCO Insight
The leadership overhaul signals Ingenico’s creditors are positioning for operational transformation rather than simple refinancing, suggesting payment terminal providers face mounting pressure to modernize cloud infrastructure rapidly.
