Gitlawb founder Kevin Codex has launched what he calls the first decentralized version control platform built specifically for AI coding agents. The GitHub alternative addresses a critical infrastructure gap as autonomous bots increasingly write and modify code at machine speed, overwhelming legacy platforms designed for human users. Traditional platforms rely on centralized authentication and rate limits that treat AI agents as exceptions requiring workarounds through API keys and OAuth.

Gitlawb uses cryptographic keypair identities instead of traditional accounts, allowing both humans and AI agents to authenticate identically through signed requests. The platform was bootstrapped entirely through the DeFAI ecosystem Bankr, avoiding venture capital. Its coding CLI has garnered nearly 30,000 GitHub stars with trillions of tokens already processed through its infrastructure. The company has also launched ZERO, a hyper-automated coding agent operating within this decentralized framework.

Fintech firms deploying AI agents for trading algorithms or automated code deployment should evaluate decentralized authentication infrastructure now to avoid bottlenecks as centralized platforms impose tighter bot restrictions.
