GCEX’s Dubai entity has appointed Mohammed A. Mulla to its board as the crypto-focused liquidity provider accelerates regional expansion. Mulla joins after spending over sixteen years at Finalto, where he served as founding Vice President for MENA and Asia and reportedly facilitated approximately two trillion dollars in straight-through processing volumes. He previously established Noor Clearing, a joint venture between Finalto and Noor Capital PSC in 2019.

The appointment strengthens GCEX’s Virtual Asset Service Provider operations regulated by Dubai’s VARA authority. The firm provides institutional clients with CFD liquidity on digital assets and forex, alongside spot trading through its XplorDigital platform. GCEX CEO Lars Holst cited their decade-long working relationship dating back to CFH’s inception as key to the hiring decision.

This follows January’s recruitment of Carmen Tan from CoinW Exchange as Managing Director for MENA, signaling aggressive headcount expansion across the region’s crypto infrastructure space.
