FxPro has launched weekend trading for five instruments including gold, silver, WTI crude oil, natural gas, and the Nasdaq index, joining a growing trend among retail brokers expanding trading hours. The move follows similar initiatives by Vantage, CMC Markets, and XM, who introduced weekend trading for gold and other assets between April and August this year.
Available exclusively on FxPro’s Standard MT5 account, the new offering allows traders to respond to geopolitical events, political announcements, and sentiment shifts occurring outside traditional weekday sessions. Weekend positions automatically transfer to corresponding weekday instruments when underlying markets reopen, with no limits on the number of positions clients can establish.
The expansion comes as FxPro’s UK division reported trading volumes reaching eighty-seven billion dollars in 2025, driven by heightened volatility from Middle Eastern geopolitical developments. The service is accessible through MetaTrader 5 and the FxPro app, though availability varies by jurisdiction.
FXnCO Insight
Weekend trading access is rapidly becoming a competitive necessity for retail brokers as traders demand continuous market exposure during geopolitically volatile periods.
