Freedom24 has integrated its proprietary Tradernet brokerage platform with artificial intelligence applications using the Model Context Protocol, joining a growing industry shift toward AI-accessible trading infrastructure. The integration allows clients to connect brokerage accounts to AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, enabling natural language commands for portfolio data, market quotes, historical information, orders and alerts.
The move follows similar implementations by ThinkMarkets in June, which launched an MCP server restricting AI access to trading only while blocking deposits and withdrawals. MetaTrader 5 and Spotware’s cTrader have also added native MCP support for AI agents, while Capital.com deployed an MCP server for MENA clients with two-step confirmation for AI-initiated trades.
Freedom24’s Chief Product Officer Vitaliy Zvonar emphasized this represents a fundamental shift toward intelligent interfaces for financial services rather than simple query responses. The integration aligns with Freedom’s European expansion strategy, including a pending banking licence application and plans to replicate its Kazakhstan SuperApp ecosystem combining banking, payments, investing and other services.
FXnCO Insight
Brokers should evaluate MCP integration urgently as AI-accessible trading infrastructure rapidly becomes an industry standard for client acquisition and retention.
