Fintel has delivered an 11.2% jump in organic adjusted EBITDA to £11.8 million for the half year ended June 30, despite modest 2% organic revenue growth to £37.4 million, according to Thursday’s unaudited trading update. The UK financial services software provider saw its EBITDA margin expand sharply to 31.6% from 28.9% in the prior year period. Software and Data revenue climbed 2.9% organically while Services revenue edged up 1.1%. Including the recently acquired Pearson Ham insurance pricing business, continuing operations revenue reached £38.6 million, up 5.3%.

The results arrive as Fintel faces intensifying competition from peers reporting stronger recurring revenue momentum. Beeks Financial Cloud posted 15% constant-currency growth in annualized recurring revenue, while Alfa Financial Software saw 13% subscription revenue expansion. Fintel’s SaaS and subscription sales grew 7.9%, representing 68% of continuing revenue. CEO Matt Timmins expressed confidence in sustained strategic and financial progress through 2026.

FXnCO Insight

Fintel’s margin expansion demonstrates operational efficiency, but lagging subscription growth versus listed peers warrants close monitoring by investors tracking UK fintech competitive dynamics.
