eToro has integrated Singapore’s national digital identity system Singpass into its trader onboarding process, enabling instant account verification for local users without uploading physical documents. The move follows eToro’s July 2025 launch in Singapore under a Capital Markets Services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, which permits the platform to offer stocks from over 20 global exchanges, ETFs, and derivatives to retail investors.
The Singpass integration allows traders to authenticate directly through the government app, automatically transferring verified personal details to eToro for immediate account setup and trading access. The streamlined process covers stocks, commodities, currencies, and other instruments available on the platform.
Beyond Singapore operations, eToro CEO Yoni Assia confirmed the publicly listed firm is pursuing acquisition opportunities in wealth-tech, currently in talks with two companies including one US-based target. The company is also exploring expansion into payments services and considering future banking licence applications.
