**Equiti Opens Bangalore Tech Hub as Brokers Hunt Indian Engineering Talent**

Equiti Group has launched a technology hub in Bangalore focused on engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure, marking its entry into India as a talent sourcing base rather than a client market. The Middle East-focused broker is sidestepping India’s regulatory grey zone around CFDs and currency controls, which have forced other offshore brokers to abandon local retail client acquisition efforts.

The Bangalore facility will support Equiti’s AI-powered platform expansion, led by CTO Sartaj Singh who was promoted in August with a mandate to integrate automation across the group. Equiti joins a growing list of brokers tapping India’s engineering ecosystem, following similar moves by Axi, which staffed a thirty-person Bangalore centre, and Deriv’s Cyprus expansion. The competitive hunt for tech talent has intensified at executive levels, with recent CTO appointments at amana and CFI Financial.

Equiti provided no headcount targets, investment figures, or operational timelines for the new hub.
