Coinbase has secured regulatory approval from Abu Dhabi Global Market’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority to arrange deals and provide custody for tokenized securities, positioning ADGM as its international tokenization hub. The exchange announced the authorization today, with FSRA having already approved a prospectus for Apple CB Certificates issued through a special purpose vehicle established in June. These certificates represent beneficial interests in Apple common stock, backed by underlying shares held in trust, with token holders eligible for economic benefits like dividends.

The approval covers digital wallet-based access for eligible investors outside the United States, with transfers subject to sanctions screening and regulatory controls. Coinbase plans to replicate this structure for additional equities, enabling faster settlement, continuous trading, and fractional ownership depending on liquidity. This development is separate from Coinbase’s pending US Securities and Exchange Commission application for tokenized equities filed in 2025.

** Traders should monitor liquidity development in these tokenized securities as Abu Dhabi positions itself as an offshore alternative for US-restricted digital asset trading infrastructure.
