Spotware’s cBridge has linked retail brokers to LMAX Group’s institutional perpetual futures liquidity, the companies announced Monday. The integration feeds LMAX’s perpetual futures products advertised at up to 100:1 leverage directly into existing MT4, MT5, and FIX API infrastructure that brokers already operate. LMAX offers perpetuals across over twenty markets with round-the-clock trading, eight-hour funding intervals, and fiat settlement with fiat or stablecoin collateral accepted.
The actual leverage available depends heavily on jurisdiction. European regulators clarified in February that perpetual futures meeting CFD definitions fall under strict EU CFD rules, capping crypto leverage at just 2:1 for retail clients despite institutional offerings reaching 100:1. The announcement does not specify which jurisdictions or client categories can access the higher leverage tiers. LMAX launched the 100x perpetuals in September 2025 for institutional traders and has expanded beyond crypto to include gold perpetuals trading through weekends.

Brokers gain simplified access to institutional perpetuals inventory, but regulatory arbitrage remains limited as European authorities actively block circumvention of retail leverage caps regardless of product labelling.
