iFX EXPO International 2026 opened Wednesday at City of Dreams Mediterranean in Cyprus, drawing over 6,500 attendees including brokers, fintech firms, liquidity providers, and technology vendors from the online trading sector. The conference, featuring 200 exhibitors and 120-plus speakers, launched its main programme following a networking event at Columbia Beach the evening prior.
Conference sessions are focusing on regulation, trading technology, payments, client acquisition, and digital assets. A notable crypto panel titled “Bull Hangover: Who Survives When the Music Stops?” examined business resilience during market stress, exploring which models withstand lower trading volumes and whether current conditions signal cyclical downturn or structural reset. Speakers noted a trend of crypto traders shifting toward FX, indices, and commodities. CySEC Chairman Dr. George Theocharides delivered the opening keynote, addressing EU regulatory priorities and supervisory developments.
