Digital asset liquidity provider B2C2 has hired Jason Lai, former Chairman of Schroders Wealth Management Asia, as Senior Advisor in Singapore to expand relationships with family offices and asset managers across the region. Lai previously founded Thirdrock Group in 2009 before its acquisition by Schroders in 2019, giving him deep connections in Asia’s independent wealth sector.
The appointment targets surging crypto adoption among wealthy Asian clients. Goldman Sachs data shows one-third of global family offices already hold digital assets, while blockchain transaction volumes in Asia jumped 69 percent year-over-year through June 2025, the fastest regional growth globally. Boston Consulting Group forecasts regional assets under management will reach 99 trillion dollars by 2029, concentrated in Singapore and Hong Kong.
B2C2, owned by SBI Holdings since 2020, reported revenue of 57.14 billion yen for fiscal 2024, up 88.5 percent annually. The firm has aggressively expanded its Asia-Pacific presence, opening a Singapore office and applying for a Major Payment Institution licence in 2024.

B2C2’s wealth management talent acquisition signals institutional crypto infrastructure is maturing rapidly to meet accelerating demand from Asia’s ultra-high-net-worth segment.
